The marketplace on this forum is a vaible place where fellow Z owners can pass the savings to another z owners vice versa. If you have sent money through pay pal, money order or any other method of payment and you basicly got screwed. If you never recived your purchase this is the place to put their name and your side of the story on BLAST. I have a story and this is the last chance for the guy from LA to respond to my private mesages or respond to me at all before i blast his name all over this site. i just relly want my exhaust. no harm no foul give me a tracking number or something want my dam exhust!!!!!!

i think what you are doing is fair, most people wont even give the person a chance to come clean before the start blasting someone else.

How long have you been waiting? If it's only been 2-3 days you can't flip off the handle like this. There could have been a family tragedy, you know, his dog got glaucoma or something, and he just couldn't get on the PC or get the thing shipped in 2-3 days. Some people start blasting away if it's not shipped the hour they originally claimed they would ship it; even though things come up that might take a few extra hours and/or days to resolve...

Now, if it's been 2-3 weeks, I see your point...

 

Oh yeah; if it's been 2-3 weeks, I'd file a paypal complaint asap and it may save you in the end...

If it's only been 2-3 days, I'd wait it out b/c you'll end up responding to the paypal people, "The guy shipped it; no further problems..". And then you just look kind of silly.

Then I say:

1)Post his SN and any info you can and I'm sure some Intranet savvy people can help you locate this fella. I wouldn't even give him until 10PM.
2)File a dispute with paypal to get your money back.

That sucks. So far, I've had good experiences. I only trade with people with trader ratings though usually. Unless it's a buyer and that's how I got my score up. Good luck!

I agree getting ripped off sucks, but the Classified section is BUYER BEWARE. I myself would never buy from someone with a low itrader rating unless I know them or it is a low dollar amount. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you. As stated above I would start the paypal dispute right away.

 

I paid Forrest Menees in Arizona for his 2003 brickyard leather seats and he never shipped them.

 

i've been burned twice on Ebay, luckily only low dollar amounts... but the last time it almost happened... i claimed after 3 weeks with paypal... situation was resolved... i never had one go so far as to not have a response at all but thus far i have had good results...

never bought from somone on the classifieds... making me worried about it now...

If you paid via paypal, you can reverse the payment. That way, you can get your money back.

Secondly, if you ask for his IP from the admins, you can only get a generate vicinity around the area in which he lives in. It's generally accurate, but it traces it back to the area where his ISP has their server(s) at, not his address. However, if you did somehow, send it some other method (ie: via mail) you have his address, and someone here maybe willing to do something for yah..
