Went to Galveston, did a few donuts in second gear just goofing off in the sand. Parked, enjoyed the ocean for maybe 20 minutes, then took off and everything seems cool until I got onto the freeway and when i tried to get up past 60mph the car got all super shakey like the engine wasn't firing right.. totally unbalanced and shaking alot. So realized I could only cruise about 55mph without shaking the car for the whole friggen way back to Houston which sucked *** and took forever. Even stopped at one place to check my Nismo CAI to make sure it wasn't loose and it was perfectly secure. So i got home finally, sleepy and let the car sleep also for the night. Next morning was going to take it to the shop but when i got it on the freeway the car was running smooth all the way up to over 100mph like a champ. So i'm thinkin, wtf? I didn't drive it into the water while at the beach or anything like that... and sand couldn't of gotten thru the filter... or could it? Well Just wondering what could of caused it. It seems like an ecu problem perhaps ... well, that'd be my guess... it's original. Does doing several donuts screw up the ecu and does it take over and hour of driving at low speeds for it to work itself out? Thanks for suggestions/input.

I havn't cleaned the CAI since then, but it runs perfectly again after just that 1 night of letting the car rest. I did wash the car 1st thing in the morning..had sand all over the wheels, body, ect.. so the thing about it unbalancing my rims/tires... gosh, that could of been it. It would be nice if it was just so simple.
