Default A/T Transmission Whine

Hi. I took delivery of a brand new 2006 Nissan 350Z Touring Silver Alloy with an Automatic transmission about a month ago. It's got 980 miles now. I do notice that sometimes I hear a whine when accelerating (changes pitch when accelerating & sounds like a Delorean in Back to The Future) around 2k-3k RPM. Is this a normal noise? Thanks!

Search for intake noise threads. I think thats what everyone narrowed it down to. It gets louder with an aftermarket intake.

Question

Does your car have any modifications?

Visit the dealer, it does not sound normal.

Maybe your S.O. is whining because you drive too fast?
