jwt clutch/flywheel $750 plus $350 install a few months ago for me. That dealership is trying to rape you.

Major ripoff.
Like others have said, JWT clutch/flywheel combo is THE BEST option for you.
Not only it's cheaper, it performs MUCH better than the stock.
Your clutch's engagement point will be noticably lower than the stock.
Also, with the JWT flywheel your revs will rise and drop like a ****.
I drove my co-worker's stock G35, and when I tried rev-matching it
reved so slow that it almost made me puke.

FYI: Any flywheel that has taken any form of abuse (weither it is just slipping it for too long or just abusing it) forms hair line cracks on the surface... these wont destroy the flywheel but heat spots and these cracks can cause shuttering... The flywheel on the Z is mostly considered dead once the damper wears out and the two surfaces can move with almost no resistance...

Either way though, if you are doing the labor, might as well pay for new parts, you dont want to pay all that labor again...

Is It Just Surface Cracking? That Can Be Milled Away. Be Sure They Arent Trying To Pull One Over On You. I Don't Know What You Could Do To A Flywheel To Crack It Bad Enough To Justify Replacement. Unless You Drove 10k Miles With A Burned Up Clutch. Just Fyi

Stock flywheel can't be resurfaced.
