I read somewhere that only about 8% of all the Zs have been made in LeMans Sunset.If that is accurate,it must be the rarest of Zs.

I've had mine 3 1/2 years and it STILL attracts attention.
Just the other day a guy in a humungus Ford truck made some stoplight praise,mostly about the color,and the woman I met last week had a cow over the color the first time she saw it.I was driving the Spare Car when we met.

Owning such a distinctive thing in my little adopted town restricts me in many ways.Everybody I talk to tell me about how they saw me here or there,doing this or that.
I have no secrets.
I could never speed through school zones chugging a tallboy.The cops would know exactly where to go.No drive-bys for me either.And I could never rob 7-11s--at least not around here--and use the Z for a getaway.The Z has straightened me out,and it's the Sunset part that speaks the loudest.

 

I drive a black Z and my second favorite color is definitely the Lemans. I probably would have gotten it in that orange if it was my weekend car. Now it's my daily driver and I think I would like the orange not as much anymore after a few years...

 

I bought mine in 2003 and loved it ever since. I wouldn't trade it for any other color. And just like the others, I get many compliments as well. From young kids to older folks, they all admire the color/car.

 

I was with in an inch of buying a LeMans Sunset, but found another Base model in Silverstone and bought it instead.

I was a bit nervous that the metallic orange colors that looked so good in the early 2000's would be too popular and end up like Teal circa early 1990's. I hope not!

 

I would have to say Brickyard is the rarest color for the Z as it was only made in 03. The Lemans is still made despite the rumors nissan was going to ditch the color....

 

I am hoping they do ditch Lemans now that I have one. I like the others on here get complemented. It has happened at least once every day I driven the color. I have the only ZR in this area this color I think and that in itself is kinda cool. I want to see a Brickyard now since they only made it one year.

 

I like the color, but being color blind, it looks odd to my eyes. Same goes for Int. Fire. I guess that is why I like base colors such as silver, gray, blue(my favorite), red, yellow, and white. One of the worst car colors for me is Mazda's Titanium Gray. To my eyes, it looks purple.

 

I love my Sunset!!! Would buy it all over again! Best color ever!!

 

before my friends all thought it was an ugly colour and when i bought mine, they said i should paint it white
but its the BEST COLOUR EVER!! especially in person, the girls go crazy!

 

yeah dont get any other colour, they are all to played out. too many people have silver cars, black cars, white, blue, but only the Z has lemanssunset. go with it bro you will never regret it. no one has and no one will.

 

get a lemans while you can. they are cancelling it in 07. i got a 03 enthusiast and love it. never had so many compliments on just the color of a car.

 

...Concerning the rarity of certain factory colors--was the yellow on the 35th Anniv. model exclusive to '05s only,or is the color still available?
It may compete with Brickyard as the rarest model.
I've seen only 2-3 of the Yellows,mostly in in Dealer's lots.

 

i mean yeah other colours are nice, but how can you turn this one down?

 

Wesismyhero, where did you read this bit of 2007 info? I've not heard this rumor anywhere. Post it up if you have acess to this info.

 

I've often wondered if its the color or the body style, or maybe a combination that gets the attention. But I do know that this is the first car I've owned that gets as much attention as it does, its enough to make you blush and I've owned other z's in the past in addition to corvettes. None of them drew as much attention as my LS Z.

 

It's like being with celebrity all the time. I had three people, this week, tell me how beautiful the color is. I also met a woman who owns a Cadillac with this color and she told me that she loves my car!!

 

It's confirmed. The Le Man's Sunset is gone for '07! The dealer heard rumors and I wanted this color regardless if I bought an '06 or '07. They asked the head office of Nissan, and it took awhile, but they confirmed that Le Man's Sunset is out for '07. So, I put $1000 down and ordered an '06. Reply if you heard otherwise, and if I got played.

 

Sounds kind of fishy...they should be taking out a silver...too many!
