remember where you seen this this z will be 5 tenths + faster in the 1/4 and gain 3-5 MPH traps .

put this against a 03 or 06 all stock and this car will tear the 03-06's a new A-hole

this car will be much faster for the same reason the NSX is so fast for its HP USABLE POWERBAND lots of it

Hey, Bluzee

Are they making any trim changes as to what the different trims offer.

In particular I was wondering if they were giving enth. VDC and all the goodies of track minus the rims and brembos.

Come on now Soldier, pay attention. As I, and several oter people have already posted, the hood has the hump to accomodate the taller block.

What I'm wondering though is will the GT still have all the Track goodies (Brembos, Ray's etc) or if those will become options for all the models. I hate how the Z is shying away from the performance market and taking on a luxury-ish image now with the deletion of the Track (even though rumors abound of a Track down the road)... that's what the G35 is for.

My prediction: Mid 2007 they will release the Track with some sort of uber performance mod on that new engine. Whether it be the 3.7L or the full blown TT... and it will be crazy expensive. That's just what I am expecting.

^ I remember seeing something (can't remember where) that a Track edition was to be released 1/2 a year to a year after the drop of the VQ35HR, and would be equipped with Cosworth heads, as well as some other upgrades. Don't remember the guess at power, but I think it was around 350.

Tony (don't believe me just yet... all rumors)

I have also heard that there will be a CR - "Club Racer" addition that will be light weight, but light is a relative term, plus this is nothing more than a rumor.

ahh man this really stinks. I'm already waiting on the 07 to come out to see if its worth buying, and there are rumors of a more powerful track model a half a year to a year after that? Its hard enough to wait till january!

Nope, they are still all the same. The only thing really new is that you can get bluetooth on the touring and grand touring.

The VQ35HR is a little taller, so they need to acccomodate it with the new hood. I still have the urge to stand on it just because of the raised center ahahh.

Just look at the difference in the NSX when it received a minor HP upgrade. Acura knew what they were doing and so does Nissan.

They are taking the weakest link of the engine and improving it vastly.

Makes the thing look retarded....I dont like it at all. Nissan could have found a better way to fit the HR motor under the hood. Hopefully there will be some nice aftermarket hoods out for this thing.
