I hear that. I owned a low mileage one a prior to my Z. It never really cost me much, but there were a ton of nagging problems. Even though the Z interior is on the cheaper side, we all take for granted how far plastic parts have come in 10 short years. The RX-7's interior was pure trash.

I really want to get another Z. I love the exhaust note and the general livability of the car on a daily basis (RX-7 is basically a race car). But I'd have to get a really great price from a deal given my knowledge of the '07 model line at this point.

I want to see how much more it costs over the 06's. I'm not a very colorful person so on the new colors... but weight would be nice.

you have to remember its 5hp under the old system...which the 06 Z was using...its more like 295hp on the new system, for the 06 Z...and 305 on the new system, for the 07 Z...

the 260tq is also another old system rating...with the new system implanted on the old tq figure, it will drop to 258tq....so 258tq on the new system, for the 06 Z....288tq on the new system, 07 Z...

hmm, 10hp and 30tq difference? and 7500 RPMs to play with...and supposedly a nicer powerband (claimed by nissan)...i would think you can feel this one

Wonder if the Nav is touchscreen and voice activated? I highly doubt it!

If i wasn't going to use the car for auto-x, I'd get an in-car PC. with wireless networks expanding, it's gonna be sick what kind of info you can display through your car. It would probably also be cool to set up some datalogging if you have an ECU. Just a thought.

hmm... you mean like this ?

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...highlight=350z (not my car, hope the owner doesnt mind )

Check these out for more ideas: (Installs done by me, RSX is my car, TL is my brothers )

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=71825

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...&highlight=rsx

Plan on doing the same thing with the addition of OBD for datalogging + camera when I pick up my Z, hopefully I can work out a nice deal so I have money for mods . Would be kinda cool in AUTO-X, the weight for it is minimal (weight of a small pc or laptop basically).

Z is gonna be my first RWD was going to spring for the track because it had VDC but I guess I'll stick with the Enth. Hope I dont die

Even if the improvement is only 5-10hp, It'll definately be noticeable in the 1/4 especially with the higher red line and we also dont know if the gearing has been changed.

4th gear in my 06 rev-up goes to 120....seems like the 07's will hold the gears longer

and who the hell needs this bluetooth garbage? It's a goddamn 350z, not a lexus. I'd rather have nissan focus on weight-savings rather than dump more stuff into it to make it heavier

Bluetooths probably gonna be in the HU, but the real question is gonna be WHERE it displays the info for your phone. If its on the HU then all you'd really need to do is get the Headunit from the 07 and pop it into the other years, would also need the mic if it was external. But if its on the dash near the guages etc, then it'd be kinda hard.

I'm glad they didn't change the overall design too much. It will be interesting to see the new hood.

the 288 torque figure was originally posted incorrectly by me (fuzzy fax). the published number is 268.

Some dude earlier in the thread said his friend got the solar orange already and that the color was . Scroll back a few pages if you need confirmation. This guy said the bluetooth is in the steering wheel... whatever the hell that means.

Oh yea missed that part. The Steering wheel has the buttons for the bluetooth control (answer phone etc) . Possible to add it to the older models but probably gonna be a pain.

regarding the event data recorder:

it is always recording date regarding your driving.
if you get into an accident, it saves the data just prior to the accident.

this is not gt-r like telemetry.

this is nissan allowing (by force?) the insurance companies and police depts to keep an eye on you.

the improvement is 12hp. final drive is more aggressive. gearing is otherwise the same. the engine is completely revised, the difference should be very noticable in terms of refinement and response, not just power delivery.

good luck on the computer. my g:
