That was an excellent first post. We should each kick in a dollar and buy this guy a Z and cover his insurance for a few years. With over 60,000+ members, it could easily be done. This kid deserves one.

I'm in. I'll even give him $2. Sounds like a great kid.

Welcome TJ.

Maybe you could try out something 'similar' the Z for your first vehicle. Something like the mid/late-90s (S14) 240sx (I know its a stretch, saying its similar, but its Nissan product, RWD, etc.) would be more suited for a new driver (less power, etc.) and the insurance has to be cheaper...'

Good luck on getting a Z someday.

Substitutes won't do for this kid. He'd rather nickel and dime it until he gets the car he wants. I had completely decided to never have kids because of how screwed up the new generation is. I wouldn't mind having a kid like this guy. I know it sounds goofy but this simple post gives me hope for the next coming generation.

I'm in for $2, and by the time he gets one there should be no gearbox issues.

2 bucks from me -- although I'm still dreaming for one too! Anybody want to hire a 14 year old? I'm willing to do some dishes! haha

Make a PayPal and see how much money you can get donated to you, it'd be wayy sick if you ended up with enough for a good down payment or so!

AAHHHHHH, a teenager who can write, punctuate, spell, form coherent thoughts, make a point, AND be polite.

$3 from me. Welcome to the forums and I hope you get your car soon. I would say be careful in a high-HP car but I think you have your head on straight so you'd do so anyway.

Set up a Paypal account. Even if you don't get enough for a Z, you might be able to take your parents (who are obviously doing a great job) out for a nice dinner. Don't forget to put a little away for savings. I'm in for $5 but if not too many people help out, I'll be in for $20.

im willin to pitch in for this kid too!! What a great kid. I say we sticky this post and have the members pitch in a dollar or two and help this kid live out his dream. He sounds very reasonable and responsible enough to own a Z. Lets do it!

TJ, welcome. When I read your post, the first thing that came to mind was exactly as TK said; even though we have new members every day, it is very rare to see one with your attitude. So welcome! You are a great addition here and will enjoy your time.

I was like you when I first saw the new Z in a magazine, except I was 22 at the time. After dreaming about it for 5 years, I finally got to order my own and now I have it. We appreciate things most if we have to wait for them. Enjoy the ride!

Right on TJ! Way to win friends and influence people...

Man, can I relate. Except when I was around your age, It was the 1993 RX7 that did me in. I visited the dealer at least once a week.

Set up that PayPal account and I'll contribute to the TJZ fund. Make sure to take advantage of the 5% CDs banks are offering right now. Also, helps keep the money tied up so you're not tempted to spend it on something short-term.

If this donation is for real I am in for $5, I agree with TK 100%, this kid is driven, intelligent, and is doing all he can(not his parents) for his Z, damn this kid is motivating, I wonder if his dad is Zig Ziglar

Welcome to the forum lil shaver....stay on track and before you know it you will be cruising in your Z....

Man, I don't know if that's nice of them or mean of them.... that's like dangling a treat in front of a caged dog!
