Default Dealership's fix for my grinding 5th is to shift "slower"

WTF.... Took my car in to the dealership today for the rear axle clicking. Apparently not covered under my extended warranty cuz it's an adjustment. O.K, wtf, I can live with the annoyance. Complained about the grinding 5th gear, dealership calls me back and says the tech wasn't able to repro it when shifting easily, only when he shifted fast so I should just shift slowly. I wouldn't stand for it so now they say they'll get the service manager to call me when he gets back from vacation in a week and a half. Just give me a friggin tranny you douchebags, it's not like you have to pay out of your own pocket for it......

I'm so glad I didn't get the extended warranty.

remember guys that the grinding only gets worse with time. I would get it fix now than later.

For the dealer to tell you to shift slower, thats pretty rude, unedcuated and lack of customer service with them given that this problem is well known.

I would take it to a different dealer. Good luck.

there was so much trouble that the warranty on the tranny was extended.

you have an 05 and granny trouble? Most of the problems were linked to a 03 - 04.5 models. I knew Nissan didn't fix the problem!
