Question Best 0-60 time addition

I want to make my 06 Z faster but I dont care as much about top end speed as I do 0-60 or 0-80 speed. What is the best bang for your buck in doing this. I dont want to spend thousands of dollars.

Is there like a small supercharger kit or somethinig I could get along with intake?

Yeah , NOS is probably your best bet. If you want best bang-for-the-buck mods, your best bet is a JWT popcharger or a plenum spacer. Those alone won't significantly help with your 0-60 times though.

If you are really only concerned with 0-60 times then a change of gearing might be what you want. FI is really your only means of getting alot faster.

+1 on the gearing; check out the 3.9 final drive (assuming you have 6MT). This'll give you the bigest seat of the pants accelleration gains (approx 10% quicker in each gear), though you will lose a bit off the top speed (like you'll ever miss it) and gas milage will be approx 10% less as well (that might hurt).

Post some recent time slips so I can take a look at your technique.

I say practice practice practice. Get to were you can feel the car from your seat like you are part of the car not just the driver. I was able to lower my 0-60 times by.8 a second. I was able to lower my time from 5.8 to 5.0 without any mods but just by knowing how to drive the car better. That did not cost me anything besides the gas and wear on the car. After you master driving the car better do the mods if you want to go that route.

My guess is don't waste your money for the tiny bit of performance you may or may not get. Either go nitrous or a Stillen or HKS supercharger. They should suit what you want. Maybe HKS because you don't need a hood. If you do the work on a HKS SC should cost you approx $5500 or so based on my research. Otherwise, be happy and don't spend.
