I've mentioned that in the future, it would be nice if Nissan offers it. This device is intresting. I'm curious as to how it will engage the clutch and also shift quickly to really get the full excitment.
edit: never mind, you have to buy a compatible transmission.

Bah it should be stock on all A/T Zs. The RX-8 has it, and the A/T RX-8 (i believe) is a 4 speed with no power. Oh well.
The 2007 (08?) Audi TT has a paddle-shifted electronic gearbox. It's bad ***. Makes me want to buy it if it wasn't an Audi TT.
edit: even if it worked with the current transmission just by telling the computer to "shift up" or "shift down" like the manumatic does, it would make the car alot cooler and make it feel more exotic... like a poor man's ferrari!

yea the ones on ferrari's shift faster than 99.99% of people and more consistent than ANYONE ever thought about being.
with all my dreams for my Z.... one day i hope to see not paddles but push button up/down shift electronic on the wheel at the 2 and 10 oclock positions. be able to manipulate the engine management from the touch screen in the center of the wheel..... yea and ill finance this right out of my lunch money i know it would be stupid expensive... but hey... im not saying ill be doing it anytime soon.....
the trick factor would be sick....

If the 2007 350z is getting the new G35 Engine then odds are they will also offer the paddle shifters on the 2007 Z....
