Its no big deal but the front tires throw road debris on the side of the car. Some that you can see (mud) and some that you cannot (sand). I think that the front mud guards are functional.

its just that its gonna com off anyways since im puting on new bidy kits
I bought with the car. I took them off after a couple of weeks. The dirt and mud built up caused scratching and I could see that it was going to accumulate over time and cause a corrosion problem. So, I took them off. I like the looks much better.
Now, on my Pathfinder they are built much better and do not accumulate if you rinse them off after you go off-road. So, there they are functional and won't cause problems down the road.
The same thing was true for my old altima. They really helped.
I just don't like the way they built the ones for the Z.

My rear ones are all chewed up on the underside, which I can assume would have been the lower rear of the bumper if I didn't have them. Rather chew the mudguards up than the bumper.

and the dust and sand
i know all Z owners wash there car and take good care of it constantly right ?
thats the way to do it
Took mine off. They were staining the car and were all scratched. I also left one in a parking lot. I think the back ones dont help the design of the car. They are too squarely.
