Default Guess how much for ticket-->80mph

I got a ticket 2 weeks ago doing 80mph in 65mph zone in Anaheim City. Ticket came today and it's only $107 I was expecting at least 300 bucks.
I dont think i'll show up for court. If I do so, it's probably down to 60 or 70 bucks...but not worth it.

Bad thing is that since i got my class A commercial driver license, I am not qualified for traffic school. . Man, I dont even use the freaken class A license. Just got it for fun when I got for few summers ago.

Just purchase a brand new Escort 8500 x50. Hopefully no more ticket from now on.

Does radar dectector only work when cops are using radar gun? What if a cop is not using the gun?

Radar only work when cops point the laser at you. What they detect is the laser.

r u sure ? If they already point the laser at you, then it's too late. They already know how fast you are going? what's the point for having it?

True. I just know that the radar beeps when the cop has it turned on. If the cops is sleeping or writing in his car, the radar wont sound the alarm.

Get your self a passort SR7 and ZR3 laser shifter. It's the best $1000 I've ever spent. I've been clocked at least 4 times in the last month and was never pulled over. The ZR3 makes your car invisible to laser. One of the 4 times I was doing 70 MPH in a 40 MPH as I watch the cop point his radar gun at him. I saw the fustration in his face as I passed him cause he could get a speed from my car.

If you already have a 8500 or Solo II you can just buy the ZR3.

radar detectors only detect the radar signal but most cop cars emitt the signal the whole time unless the drivers turn them off. And of course if they use the gun u tend to be f-ed the v1 seems the best in my opinion normally gets the signal over a mile ahead in almost any direction.

Yeah they're radar detectors not cop detectors. cop has to have the radar on to tell you. They work if the cop is radaring someone in front of you so you know in advance to slow down because you are approaching a radar, so basically they are only good in traffic.

Cops can do "instant on" where they leave the gun off until you get right in front of them and then click it on last second. That situation cost me $150 for 50 in a 35.

In Florida they use airplanes on certain roads and time yoo in between markers to register your speed, undetectable. All they do is radio cops sitting ahead and your a sitting duck. This situation cost me $168 for a 92 in a 65.

I got nailed in Maryland by VASCAR, which stands for Visual Average Speed Computer and Recorder. Dividing distance by time or somethin, that cop told me christmas came early and reduced the ticket from $270 to $70 for going 92 in a 55.

Up to you to decide if spending $400-$1000 is worth it to merely detect radar, a lot of times it isn't. I rock the cordless Passport, only have to change batteries every 5 weeks or so and the range it good.
