Default Horn stuck on

Hey guys, I was driving home through practically a tornado yesterday from work (there actually was a tornado warning), and it was raining really hard. One report said 6 inches in 90 minutes. Anyway, I'm being really careful, making sure that my intake doesn't even come close to getting wet, and I make it home just fine. Get out, alarm the car, etc. Later on that night, I needed something from the car before I went to bed. It's amost 11 at this time. I go out to my garage, unlock the car with the remote, get what I needed, and when I press the button to re-alarm the car, the horn sticks on. Not beeping like the alarm's going off, just a loud, constant horn at 11 at night. So I'm mashing buttons on the remote, nothing's turning off the horn, but everything else is working normally with the buttons. Finally I get in the car and try to start it, and thankfully, that stopped the horn. Anyone else experience this, and any thoughts on if I should take her in to the dealer, or just let her dry out? Thanks guys.

I would let it dry out. If it happens again down the road (and still dry), then I would take it in.

This happened to an old roommate of mine one time. Him and his girlfriend were arguing about something one day when he was driving down the road. He got mad and punched the horn in his Camry. The horn would not turn off. He pulls over to the side of the road cussing and screaming at the horn while his girlfriend is laughing beyond control...this doesn't help his anger. He still can't get the horn to turn off, about this time a funeral procession drives by. A full police escort, limos and a whole lot of cars...his horn just screaming away. Finally he rips the center part of the steering wheel off and pulls a couple of wires to silence the horn.

He taped the horn cover back on til he sold the Camry a few months later. I only wish I could have been there laughing at this idiot and his horn.

OK, maybe this was payback for a prank I pulled on a buddy of mine one time. We both worked for our local town one summer. There was this one old beat up Chvy S-10 that previously had its center horn cap ripped off and then just set back on. Well, I took the cap off, and rigged the wires so that the horn wasn't going off at the time, but it would make contact with every bump. He hops in the truck to back it into the garage at the end of the day, and when he hit the little bump going into the garage, the horn just starts going crazy. It blared for about 10-15 seconds with him beating on the steering wheel before he just ripped the center cap off. We are all just laughing our @$$es of at him. It was f***ing hilarious.
Best part is, I now live next door to him, and I'm sure my horn last night woke him up.
I'm going to see if it happens again, but either way, I'm going to mention it to the dealer at my next service.

I know a few guys that rigged their friends horn up to go off whenever he pressed the brake pedal.

He got them back by writing his name very large in their front yards by using gas. Kind of lost track of those guys...no telling what they're up to now.
