Default Titan V8 in Z??

Already searched, has it been done before? Anyone else thought of this? Would the tranny bolt up to the Titan motor?

Thanks for any input.

i remember reading on here/seeing pictures somewhere of a Z with a V8 in it. Most likely a Titan engine. It was pretty sick looking.

I wonder how a swap like that would affect handling in the twisties.

Yea. Thats Chris Frosbergs car from team Falken but i think thats his practice car, not sure. He had a sr20 blacktop in there before the v8, i think one of the first with the sr20 and the v8.

I just bought an '06 Titan Le Crew Cab - and the other day I was joking about putting the V8 in my 350Z. The Titan has some serious power, but it will be much easier to just Super Charge the Z.

i own an 04 titan. it has a 5.6L V8 and from what i tknow. i also talked to my mechanic about the swap. he the acceleration on the 6000 pound truck is amazing with its 305hp and almost 400lbs of torque. if the titan can run a 15.4 at the track then we are looking at low 13s in the 350z. but with custom mounts and a different transmission than you have a plan. but he also mentioned was the height of the 5.6L motor compared to the 4.5L motor. it may be an issue. we tried to figure out which transmission to use also. a supra tt 6 speed tranny is good up to 600hp with an upgraded clutch and flywheel. and that is one route... but i he mentioned to me a rb26 swap will run 10k installed but i will need to bring my car to every show and what not... so... just to inspire people who intend to go foward with any swap good luck and i hope you have deep pockets...

An RB26DETT swap would run you more like 15k+ installed

From what I understand, the v8 is lighter than a tt v6 setup... im sure it would be overall a better setup if you can get it to fit...

Holy crap! Cant wait to see that car done and on the track. I've heard of a lot of people wanting to do this but I've never seen it done until now. It looks like this is the next trend for our cars!

I dropped a Chevy 305 once on a '78 Mercedes Benz 300D (it had a diesel motor). You would not believe the suprise looks I got from Camaro/Firebird drivers when I try to take them on . . . They'll be gawking under my hood afterwards and they'll say, "WTF!?"
