A word about Z from WRX STI owner

IMO, some of you guys are doing the same sheit they are. Just let it go.
2 different cars for 2 different purposes.
I mainly purchased the STi for the following reasons(things my Z couldn't do):
-daily driving
-carrying more passengers
-AWD for the winter months(this was a plus)
-more cargo space for grocery getting and transfering 350z parts.
BTW, theres no way a stock Z or an lightly modded Z will take an STi (both drivers being equal). I raced a local 05 rev up Z and took him from a 1st gear roll to the top of 3rd and got about 2 1/2 -3 cars on him. And thats with 5 passengers!! Traction wasn't an issue because he had suspension and tire upgrades. I think he also had exhaust and intake. What I'm try to say is that performance wise, the STi is a good platform to start on. The handling of the STi is also a plus in my book. After $3,000+ of suspension mods on my Z, I still don't feel as confident in cornering as I do in my STi.
At the end of the day, I still love my Z more. Thats why I got the STi as a DD. LoL

my honest opinion is that the sti is just a family car with turbo. yes its fast but then again so is a civic with a turbo and it still isn't impressive. NOw slap on a turbo on a Z and you see a nice car that would murder an sti. I see the sti as more of a child's car for young rich kids and the Z as a man's car with 287 or 300+ hp V6 revving motor. nuff said.

Very true. And to compare a turbo Z vs an STi isn't a fair argument either because it's then a turbo 4 vs a turbo 6. Stock to stock is the closest comparo and the STi wins by small margin. Plus you can fit more groceries in the back of a STi. =)
That being said, I still bought my Z so you know where my priorities are... lol

From a member on that site...
So the Z's were made in the 90s? ROFL!!!!!
Z's are much older dumbasses...
It is true, the STI is not that famous as Z cars in American!!!
But in asia, they started making STI & EVO since 92' or 93". Everyone there know and like the STI & EVO much more than the Z'!!!!!!!!!!

It all comes down to what you like... Speed? Looks? Handling?
Personally I bought my 350z Roadster because I like to semi-aggresivly drive up mountain roads in style... I don't drive ***** to the wall as a mistake would mean me going off a 500' cliff to my death... I also don't care to street race or drag race... The Roadster fits my life style..
Even if Nissan came out with a new 350z Roadster with 400 HP stock engine, I would still keep my car.. It has more then enough power for me and its paid for...
Now if your into street racing / drag racing hardcore then no car will ever be enough for you because you will always want the next fastest car... It's like chasing the gold at the end of the rainbow... There will always be a faster car then yours... And unless you got some serious $$$ you will also always be in debt with your car...

You guys will like this one even better.
Honestly though most Subaru people I've met are cool and even most of the people on that site are good people too.

I will say I was impressed with the performance when I test drove an STi. I just wasn't feeling it; it was like an old lady who could f uck like a race horse! To each his own.

I'm thinking of getting rid of the Murano and getting an STI for the wife, snowboarding and for daily driving. The Z is not going anywhere. However, I'd take the stupid spoiler off of course.

lol....but..
STIs and Neon SRT4s are on the same level for me... with STI being more expensive.... look-wise, i think I like the SRT4 better... I know its out of topic, but thats what i think every time I see an STI.
as for the Z.... its a very well balanced, well tuned sports car with great looks. Its plenty fast, handles, sounds, looks great right out of the box. Both are great cars, but i think its like comparing apples and oranges....

"Keech, all the more reason for the WRX. Let's face it, our car is designed to be taken out, run through a ton of mud and snow, then crashed into trees. I know between the Z and the WRX, I'll at least walk out of the WRX."
I thought this line was decent till he got to the tree part. Im pretty sure our Z's have a 5star crash rating. But to put things aside, both cars are awesome. If i had a chance to own a sti, i would in a heartbeat.
