I hope this all works out. After all you can fix a car but how many people can say that they have a special friend who took the short yellow bus to school?

At least it's only 1 wheel...

If anything it gives you a good reason to upgrade the Z.

I feel for you bud. Wait, did I say bud, I would need alot of that if this happened to me. Like Cheech and Chong said "I take a toke and all my thoughts go up in smoke!!!"

It's very different because you are renting a vehicle that does not have insurance on it so your policy would be primary. Now if you purchased the insurance they offer, your personal insurance may become excess at that point.

This may be true for a couple companies out there, but you would have to carry collision coverage on your policy for it to even be a possibility. I think State Farm is getting away from that as well.

Have your friend pay you $2k or so, call insurance company and tell them you did this yourself. Have insurance company do the repair - deductable.

hey your rims dont look so bad, im sure any reputable wheel shop in your area can fix them. sorry for your misfortune..i feel your pain, 2 months after i got my car and my alarm...the dealership "accidentally" remote started the lady up while she was in gear and the ebrake was down. the z crashed into 2 other cars and did $5000 damage to her. =[

Good idea if you are willing to sacrifice filing a claim with your insurance company which would probably jack your insurance rates up as well.

Well, I figure $2000 would cover his deductable and the increase over next few years.

When you lend someone an item, you're also responsible for what happens. If you don't want that, then don't lend it to them in the first place.
