145 and counting/5000 rpm
I took my baby out on U.S. 41 in the Indiana countryside and hit 145 and held it for a good 5 minutes - and the engine barely broke a sweat. She was turning around 5 grand. I want to get even further out and top her out, the speedometer says one-sixty and I intend to get there. I figure I've got another 2 grand before she's redlining, but I won't run her at 160 for long. No sense in taking my chances.

I took a 3000gt to about 120, and through some sweeping curves the car felt like it was going to lift off the road. Stock suspension prob not made to handle that kind of driving. Scary as hell, but fun. The VR4 backed out and turned. It was fast.

Since I don't own a Z, I'll tell the fastest I've ever gone.
It was 140 with a rental C350. I felt like it was slowing down in acceleration, so I assumed the electronic limiter was working at that point.
Was fun but I wouldn't do it again unless I'm on a track.
This was in upstate NY where there's lots of big open roads. Lots of bored cops too.

I maxed out my car at 157mph racing against a WRX. Oh yea....I killed the WRX that night too.

I hit 142 following a dodge viper on I-70 near manhattan, KS. It still felt like there was more left. Damn speed limits, I heard the governer kicks in at like 152 or 153......maybe just a rumor. Or maybe it is different for an 06.
