This is just another incident when a cop feels that it is only his job to enforce the law, and not his duty to obey the laws himself.

There is no question he was abusing his authority. It is a shame that a few BAD cops can ruin the opinions we have of ALL of them . . .

I think he was one of those cops that signs up just for the power trip. Maybe.

Just be happy this guy will loose his badge before someone innocent got hurt, he had a month on the police force and I'm sure was some young dumb kid. That being said, the upstanding members of this thread that wish he was killed and make some extremley uneduated and Ghetto remarks might not call 911 themselves, but I'm sure 911 will be called on them. Make sure you express your feeling to the next cop you come across, face to face if you have the sack to do it..

He got less than what he deserved... so far.

My experience with cops... 25% I actually like/liked, 50% I dislike, 25% I ****ing HATE WITH A PASSION.

I've been harrased SO MUCH in the past for absolutely NO REASON (oh wait, forgot about racial profiling...)... you know, stuff like being followed around stores/malls, getting pulled over ("Just a 'routine' traffic stop... sure), put in cuffs because it was a 'Mexican' who stole something (I'm Puerto Rican, and I didn't do it)... the list goes on. I've also been helped out greatly by some officers. The ones I dislike are the ones who, while they are doing there job, could be better utilizing their time (instead of pulling me for my exhaust, why don't you go after the guy who just ran that red light right in front of you... yes I've said that).

Then there's the cops who have actually complimented my car (in Fairfax County VA... wierd) while stopped next to me at a light, and the one in Kansas who gave me and one of my boys a warning for street racing (we still got a speeding ticket though), which suprised the hell out of me. He said he used to do the same **** back in his day, so he let me slide on it. There's a few who've tried everything in their power (and then some) to help myself or someone I know out.

Officers do get a bad name from some of the ******** po-po out there, like the four cops that shot that old man 49 times in NYC a few years back for pulling out his wallet to get ID for them. Oh yeah, forgot he was black

It was 51 times, not 49,, he was not old, but yes he was black. There is much more to that story than you know, but that is obvious by your comment.

No intention of filling anyone in, go do some research. Thats what I would do before I made a dumb @ss comment that I didn't have all the facts about, you could start with the transcripts of the NY Jury that found all parties innocent of wrong doing ( public information ).

I really don't like cops. I have been harassed here in VA way too many times. I dont understand why they follow me around, pull me over for stupid ****. For the most part I dont really like cops. I know that there are some good ones. Based on my experiences I really have not seen too mant good ones. I hate Fairfax cops.

Bleh everyones saying dont judge all cops by the actions of one. Well tell them because i drive a import sports car not to judge me by the others out there too! I got pulled over the other day for "Drag Racing" because the prelude next to me with a exhaust started reving it up at a red light and took off. He was a good ways away when i got pulled over doin a whooping 35mph. Im glad my friend thought it funny to takes his digital camera (which can do videos) and film the prelude acting like a idiot and racing nothing. Also glad when he filmed the prelude which was to my left he caught my speedometer in the footage as i was doing "37mph" accourding to the judge who thru out the case and yelled at the cop more or less. Cops need to be put in check and 90% of the time when they do something wrong they help each other and cover it up or let it go. How many cops get speeding tickets?

I often how cops (at least the ones around here) get away with driving 20+mph over the speed limit.. even in residential areas.

why in the world would you say something like that. you can trash me all you want for saying this but its a pretty shameful thing to say someone should have died becuas eof a stupid mistake they made. i hope you sleep well tonight. you ever done anything stupid in your life. how many people would you lke saying you should have died as a result of your stupid mistakes cause i guarntee you arent perfect. you probably have had mommy or daddy to bail you out of every situation you got yourself into though. hope you have a wonderful day jerk.
