Took delivery of my 03 DB vin 334 in Sept 02... got 17,856 miles on her. One road trip. Drive her whenever its nice enough to do so. No dings. Clean as the day she came off the hauler.

A regular average driver drives 12k miles per yr. How can you guys only drive 12k miles or less in 3 yrs??? What's the point of buying a car??? My grandma drives more than any 1 of you... Drive it and enjoy it! You wont like your car in a few yrs when a new model comes out. btw, I drive 30k per yr. 1/10 for work, 9/10 for weekend

04 w/35,000 miles here. You're making the payment, why not enjoy the car. A little reminder why you went through the trouble of getting one in the first place. Worth every penny, IMO. Put on more miles if I could.

Hay.... I drive my DBZ... I drive it to work whenever I can. I dont drive it to Kmart or Walmart or .. well anywhere some fool hater is gonna mess with it.

I love to go in the garage and look at her and sit in her. But I dont want her scratched or dings or beat. A new model has come out... not interested.

Yeah... Shes a sweet ride... Yeah its not a ferrari... But its the first car I ever ordered.

LOL....

Tomorrow we ride!!!!

to work

If you drive like a granny, it'll cost you $0.11/mile; if you drive it like you stole it, its $0.14/mile.
I wonder if what the other member posted will be true though; the car will be rare like gtr, supra one day. I hardly *ever* see such cars around, and if I do, I envy it more than mine..even if they're stock. With Zs, they soo common, and since they're good selling, I doubt Nissan will discontinue them any time soon.

I got mine in Jan 06 and just hit 7100; I only have a 4.5 mile commute though. I try to stay around 1000 mi/mo but if I go over it isn't going to kill me.
How do you put on 1000/month if you commute is 4.5 miles? LOL.

As for me, it bothers me, but there is nothing I can do. Its either drive a Z and put a lot of miles on it, or drive and Accord and put tons of miles on it, and no Z. I don't have the funds for two cars, so I daily drive.

350Z SS bought Nov '03 with 0 miles on her. She now has 13,200 miles on her. So far that about $2.55 a mile. Lol.

I love the fact that I can work from home. This allows me to put on 0 work miles on a car per week. If I do have to go to the Corporate Offices I use the Sable for the work miles. Can't take the guys out in a two seater. It an auto and makes the stop and go bearable. Pleasure miles ~ 150 miles + a week in the Z. Sometimes I'll drive the Firebird for a power rush that week and then the following week I'll drive the Z 300 miles.

That's how I've been able to keep the miles off my 350Z. I still get to go on long trips with the wife at least twice a month in the Z and love it!

I love my sports car.

I do feel for you guys with the 500 + mile commute per week. Did that for years. It just got old and expensive. Find a job that allows you to work remotely. Most of the computer jobs these days allow you to.

The bad news is that I might have to start taking BART to SF twice a week. That will cost me more, but with even less miles on the Sable. 20 miles round trip to BART Station. So, less driving yet.

I'll just have to up my pleasure driving.

At this rate, it's gonna take me til 2051 to wear out my car. That's OK ....

Absolutely not.

I bought my car on 6-24-06.

You're 250 miles ahead of me!

I love my car so much that I take the "long way" to and from work. At lunchtime, I go for a drive instead of eating.

All best,
Joe
