i just got a Z about 3 months ago and whenever i drive it without the stereo load i can hear the plastic on the shift **** and plastic from the trunk make loose plastic sounds. it crackles. and also my bose sound system skips on almost ever cd i have in the car randomly. do you think the cd with the cleaning brush on it will help?

 

The notorious "interior rattle" noise. Unfortunately, that is very well known with our cars. I have an 03 & I have fixed some of them but the rest I just learned to live with. As far as the CD, it may just need cleaning. Did you buy a new or used Z? If new, you can simply bring these issues back to the dealership to have them fix it under warranty.

huh.. weird.. maybe my Z is quite or my SLK is just to creeky that I feel so comfortable with the Z. though the doors on the Z needs a little insulation so it doesnt sound like a tin can when you knock on it.

 

I got the bose problem in the cold, and worse with burnt Cd's. I just ripped out the whole system and replaced it.

 

Does the Z FEEL cheap?

It may SOUND cheap to you, but it does not FEEL cheap to me.

It FEELS like a million bucks.

 

If its a new car, the cd player needs replacing.

And NO, my 350Z definately doesnt feel cheap at all.

 

Ive had my Z for about 4 months now and i love it!! i need to replace the cd player, just cant decide what i want. I replaced the factory 6.5in speakers with Alpine type Rs and it sounds sooo much better. The only noise i hear that bothers the **** out of me is the noise from either the tranny or clutch when u turn it off. Other than that she doesnt cheap

 

My new Topspeed exhaust makes just about everything in the back half of the car rattle.

 

My Freakin' entire left side of the bose sound system goes dead at times when I am drivin' If i give it some go the left side dies out at times, and when I am just drivin', if I hit the brakes a good punch it comes back on lol. I really hate it when it happens as I drive a Roadster and it's hard enough trying to listen to music with the top down as it is.

Time for a service anyhow guess I will add it to their list of things to do this weekend.

 

Not sure about other years but my '06 is dead silent inside. No cracks, creaks or anything. Factory Bose works flawless. This car is tight and nuttin' but a delight!!!!

My 2006 has had absolutely no rattles. Before the Z I never owned a car that didn't have something rattling. With the firm suspension I expect something to come loose sooner or later.

I have an 03 and it has 68K km and it has no rattles at all. My dad has an 05 with 8K km same thing

 

driving without the radio on I hear lots of rattles. drives me crazy and embarressed when driving with a passenger and they say "what's that noise?"

 

i love my Z..it doesnt feel cheap to me at all!

 

Malic350 my bose system's left side use to go out too. I got a laser head cleaner which temporarily solved the problem but I took it back to the dealership and it was covered under the 3yr/36k and they said there was a recall on it and replaced it for free
