Am I too young to drive a Z?
Way to respect your Dad.
I know for your many other post you are a good fellow.
I was kidding, and I know by your smilies you know that!
We old fellows learn that a little humility goes a long way.
Enjoy your Zs! It's a great time to be driving, no?

22 here, could afford something nicer but liked the Z the best. currently own my Z, turbo hybrid crx.
the way i look at it is the car isn't in your name (if you financed and they couldn't put it in your name) then you probably can't afford the car. in the real world mommy/daddy won't always be around to spoon feed you so i would probably not get to use to it.

18 here...
It is all about maturity.. control and insurance
You have to have the maturity to know when to play and where. If you don't then don't get the car... if u can't trust yourself with the car then don't get it.. I have seen what stupidity can do and how it can affect lives.. respect the power and responcibility that driving any car comes with and we all will be a little bit safer.
U have to be able to control a car.... very well... It is tempting to drive fast but u can find yourself in a dangeious situation very quickly if u don't have good car control
and CAn u afford the insurence... might be a stupid question to some of the older croud but us youngins have to pay out the wazoo sometimes (ok... just about always) It might not seem like a big deal now.. but can u affod the price hike if the Z is damaged (god forbid) or you get a speeding ticket.
Age means nothing... experence, knowledge, and Maturity is what is improtant.

Not another "I'm 12 years old and I drive a Z" thread
I don't know what purpose it serves to talk about age when it comes to owning a Z. If you can buy it (for yourself not with your daddy's money) then you deserve to have a Z. If you wish to rub it in then go to another website where they might like that sort of stupidity

What do you mean "Elderly" little @!!!$%^.
LOL
I don't feel a day over 30 and I'm one hell of a lot more than that. I know what rev to shift at tho - don't you wait until you hear the valves bounce?
One thing for us "Elderly ones" I dont owe a cent to anyone and I make good money.

I just turned 23 in December. I ordered last January (just after turning 22). I don't think I'm too young. I'm married, run my own business, and have a dog.
When kids come around the story may change. But for now, my wife and are loving the Z.

18 here, I have 3000 saved up plus I will be selling my jeep for about 6 thousand.
Ill put in a $10,000 down and pay the rest with my job. I make around $1100 a month and the Z will cost around $500 for the entusiast.

geeeeez. Im not a fan of putting money down for a car cuz it constantly depreciates and in the event that i total it or it gets stolen then Ill lose money. I can afford it but I dont want 600 dollar payments

Wow, cool to see other young owners out there. I'm 22, and i love the looks i get when i get out of it. I know everyone is thinking "ooh, look what mommy and daddy must have bought him." Well, this is my second new car and i'm doing it all my self. I have to eat Top Ramen, but its worth it for this car. Its the insurance thats killing me. $250 a month. And im a good driver too.
Oh well, in the end, its worth it.

I think my insurance is revoked this month actually. we knew it was happening when we got the car. they will not insure both me AND my sister(21) on the same policy as long as we have the cars we have(2 sports sedans, 1 sports car, 1 luxury sports sedan)just need to go find another company that wants to put their kid through college. suprisingly its not really me thats the problem, I have a clean record with lots of driving school to help, but everyone else has problems, particularly they want my sister off the policy.
17 here and as you can tell from my sig this isn't my first Z. Alot of kid at school call me a spoiled punk. I just tell them me and my dad share the same love for the Z car(they look confused when I say that) and that my dad's 2nd car was a Z and my 1st was a Z. Just because you didn't buy it dosn't mean you don't deserve it, as long as you have the love and enthusiasm for the car itself, you're good to go. Hopeully my kid will have a Z handed down to him too
Btw, insurance for me right now is killer, 300 dollars a month, and thats with a clean record too.

I am 17, and my parents bought me a Z. I don't think that I'm too young, my grandfather bought my Dad a new Chevelle SS 396 when he was 16. I take good care of the car, and I don't drive like a maniac. I don't eat in it, I keep the interior and exterior clean, buy my own gas and oil, all accessories for it. If my parents feel that I am old enough to drive the car, I really don't care what anyone else thinks. They aren't paying for it.
Age is not important. being able to handle a Z and the ability to maintain it in like new condition is what's important.
I am 47, retired from my first career, making astronomical money in my second career and drive a Z cause I want to.
I just bought my 21 year old son a Z and if the little Bastid ever laughs at his Pops, the kid's driving a freaking yugo!!!!
My 17 year old laughs at my driving all the time. That's why the little f**ker is still walking!!!!!! BAWAHAAAAAAAHAAAAAA
Oh, you are supposed to shift at what RPM?????????

OMFG, that cracked me up!
I'm 41 and have a 4 year old who loves daddy's Z. Fortunatly I don't have to face the car issue for quite a while.
Love the attitude.
