Where do I place jack stands?
I need to put my Z up on jack stands for a few days while the wheels get polished.
Does anyone have any pictures of the proper jack points on the car? I.E., I don't want to put a jack stand in the wrong place and mess anything up.
Thanks,
Steve

The main thing to watch out for if you are using safety stands (axle stands) is that you have a central groove down the support surface.
Nissan recommend Kent Moore attachment No. LM4519-0000 to bolt to the top surface of the safety stand. Basically it's a high density lift pad with a groove to clear & centre on the sill weld flange.
The front pads should be set on the front of the sill under panel line between front wing & the door. The rear pads should be midway between the rear of the door & the start of the wheel arch.
The safety stand points are as per the pantograph points, if you were using a full 2 pole lift.
Recommended jacking points using a garage jack are on the differential at the rear & just past the underbody guard at the front. Both on the centreline. Just be careful you don't snag any brake tubes, cables, fuel lines or spoiler lips...
Good Luck - don't blame me if you break anything

it says where, but the jack has a groove, I put the stands I have right next to where I jacked it up, but to be honest it didnt seem incredably happy, and it pressed it in a little(there was atleast a notch for the flangy thing) but none the less, not sure if you want it up for 2 weeks the way I had it. you could use a better adapter than the one that my stands have... something like a flat block with a small slit in it for the flange.

Somewhere in the past there is a very helpful thread on this topic. At their suggestion, I ordered 'Trolley-jack blocks' from jcwhitney.com. The blocks haven't arrived yet but the catalog picture is a block of dense plastic with a groove to prevent smashing the lip under the car. I plan to use these on each of the jack stands so I ordered 5 (I will lose one for sure).
JC Whitney Item #81ZX3278A - Trolley-jack Block $5.99 EA
The shop manual has a diagram of jack/jackstand points.
