Problem with starting
Hey guys...I have a 06 ZR Auto with 8000 miles on it. For about a month now, after the car has been sitting for 8+hrs, when I go to start the car it sounds as if it is going to stall for the first 2 seconds or so after starting and then it will normalize. I have ignored the problem, but I am afraid that someday it will not start at all and I will be stuck. I hate to leave it all the dealership overnight so they can duplicate the problem and be without a car the next day just to have them tell me nothing is wrong. Anyone else have an issue like this??? I had a 05 G35 cpe and 04 Maxima and no problems similar to this. I know someone is going to ask...I use Shell 93 octane in all my cars religiously. Thanks in advance for your help!!
SilverAlloyZR, my 2004 (that I've had since new) does exactly that, always has from the 3rd day I owned it (before the alarm went in). Yeah, so when it does this, usually once a week sometimes more, try and turn over twice, leave it for a few seconds, and third time fires, we'll my 350 does. Mine will do this when it is warm or cold, makes no difference.
Hmm, my dealership reckons they can't recreate the problem, but given it's a common fault with our 350's, given you've got an '06, I'd take in back and get them to fix pronto if I were you.
Good luck!!
