I may have pinched the A/C controls cable when installing my Stereo so that may have caused that to happen.
Congrats on 100k!
I also had the exact same AC problem after installing my stereo, and it was the white flat electrical cable bending down as it leaves the AC buttons. I simply opened it up, re-arranged the position of the cable, and pushed it in firmly from the dashboard end of the cable. No problems since! Give it a try

i have 50k only have had miner window problems and the axel.... and the valve train rebuilt.... but thats because some how the after market pulleye i instailed came lose after 6months. but that was not a nissan issue it was just bad luck...considering the bolt responsible for holding the pulleye on is always tighting its self due to the direction that its spins... oh and i fried my non brembo brakes but got the stop tech stage 2 upgrade and now at least they dont have to be rebuilt every 3k. btw... i drive the crap out of the car. i figure its a wast of a perficly good sports car not to drive it like you stole it, other wise i should of just got a civic.

I figure if i change it this frequently, I wont need to go to those most expensive brands people are shouting about. And congrats, hitting the 100k milestone is always a turning point. I just turned 100k on my 2000 year SUV and its a fantastic Isuzu, and turned 140k on my 1997 Maxima sedan and it rides like new. I just purchased a 2001 BMW with 61k on it for my teen.
I've read from this site that is not such a good idea to go synthetic so early on. Maybe you should look into that. Anyhow, Mobil 1 is a premium oil. Check out the sticky thread on 100 questions the section about oil change.

Funny you guys should mention oil consumption and oil changes, since I just got my oil analysis back today.

I waited about 5k miles since my oil change before last. Then I sent a sample of that oil, which had been in use for 5k miles, for analysis.

The guys at the lab said the oil is showing normal engine wear (since my car has low miles) and the only "problem" with the oil was slightly low viscosity.

Interesting that my engine is still breaking in even at 10k miles.

In fact, the lab recommended I stick with the 5k mile oil change interval. However I would feel a little better doing it at 4k miles.

P.S. I only consumed 1.5 quarts in 5k miles. That isn't too bad at all... (doesn't nissan say 1 quart every 3k is ok?) and I never got the oil light to come on. There was no fuel in my oil or anything, so it's not like the rings are bad.

I am pretty sure I'm going to stick to dino oil, at LEAST until the engine is done breaking in. My engine likes it, and I see no reason to go synthetic at this time.

Here is the thread.

I am at 60 K right now and just got my car back from the dealership on Friday for some last minute issues before my warranty expired.

So far, I have had...

1) New Longblock due to oil consumption @ 49K
2) New Transmission @ 53K
3) New Clutch @ 53k
Plus all of the TS'B's and fuel hose recall.

Now to add

4) My car now needs a whole new rear end (not quite sure what that means)

So basically, my 03' is a brand new car again. I love it but there has just been so many things that have been replaced. Thankfully, I have a dealership who has really helped me out. Right now I am speaking with Nissan about extending my powertrain warranty to 100K. With everything that has been done, it should be a no brainer for them to agree to this.

Well, I cursed myself with this thread. Had 77k with no major problems. At 78k, it looks like I blew my headgasket; at minimum. Coolant/Oil mixture coming out exhaust...

Good stuff huh?

Keep everyone updated.

I'm at 73k. SO far I've had the tranny and clutch replaced. My windows go down half way after I roll them up, and yesterday the car did not want to start. I also have the greasy windows , and need to get the fuel hose recall done.
