I got mine in Oct. 2002, but that situation is such a tragedy. Hopefully no one else was hurt.

"Speed" may not have played as much of a role as she says. I noticed that the road was all wet, so the stock Potenza RE040's may be as much to blame as anything else.

Well, except for the parents who fail to instill the idea with their children that driving (a sports car) without a license is a real bad idea.

Fortunately the boys are in the hospital and not the morgue!

I wouldn't be so quick to blame the parents. You ever do stuff your parents told you to never, ever do? I was a decent kid and I still pulled a few over on my mom, back in the day. Unfortunately I got caught just about as often as I got away with anything!

These boys, let's hope, have learned their lesson in a big way.

They said these two kids were airlifted and in trauma. HIDE THOSE KEYS FROM THOSE KIDS LIKE I DO. It also helps if you hide the keys when the ride is at home, burglars may also find the keys if in plain site and wind up in the news as well.

Speed may have played a role? Uh, ok, and how about 14 year olds don't know how to drive? I'm sure that played a bit of a role as well.
