I had a little over a quarter of a tank of gas, and all my floor mats, spare tire, etc. We weighed the front and rear as well, but I'm so tired from being up all night I can't remember what the weights were right now. Lol. My car is just over a month old, so it's pretty much stock (pop charger, grounding, tint, etc.). Anyway.... just thought I would share.

Oh... If I'm not mistaken the scales round up and down to the nearest 50 lbs. So my car could weigh between 3275 and 3324 (if I'm thinking correctly). Anywho.

Do you have the auto or the 6MT? Side curtain airbags?

I have a 2006 Touring 6MT..... negative on the side curtain airbags. I had them on my 2003 Z, and my side didn't deploy when I got in bad accident where every body pannel suffered really bad damage.

This weigh station never has a sign that says open or "closed", is never manned, is run by solar power and the scales are always on. The highway it's on heads out to the coast, and isn't a major truck route. There are several other weigh stations closer, however we went to that one for those reasons. There were a couple of cops nabbing speeders a few hundred feet away... they just gave us a wave as we left.

The roadster is da porkiest chicharonnes. Even the Z4 and SLK 350 weighs less by 300lbs.

"me slow in your village"..... uh,...the village of Portland? I didn't waste my time taking pictures.... at night.... of a bunch of cars at a weigh station. We got a late start because we originally planned on going to the late night drags, but got side tracked... said 'eff it' and went on another drive. I figured posting the weight would at least informative rather than blurry night shots.

Since my orginal post wasn't to your standards, I would hate to disappoint. Here is a simulation of what a picture may have looked like due to my awesome night photography skills.

EDIT: Don't take me too seriously.... I love to joke around. Haha

the extra weight is the consequence of sharing a single platform for the Z and a few other larger nissans. benefit: cost savings

I don't even bother losing weight in the Z, it isn't worth it to me to drive with a gutted car. My old 92 Honda civic hatch weighed 1950lbs with all disc brakes, 2 seats 1/4 tank of gas, dash,radio,etc.. with 650hp to the wheels. If I want a stupid loud, stupid fast car with nothing in it, it won't be a heavy 350z. In my opinion the Z will still be heavy when you rip out the modern comforts so why bother.

What can you recommend to be my next weight reduction mod? Do you know if I can save a bit by changing the seats? I refuse to go cf, too expensive for my budget. I was thinking of a single exhaust like the JIC. There are weight savings there, right?

I always found it funny that in the Corvette Community guys would always be trying to get weight off of their car with lighter wheels, carbon fiber hoods, etc but then you'd see the dude step out of the car and have a giant stomach.

My 90' TT weighed in at 3480lbs at the CAT truck scales in Montebello with 3/8 tank of gas full interior and spare. You guys are lightweght compared to my porker Z. However my 05 SE-R weighed in at 2610 with 1/4 tank of gas and lightweight 15lb wheels, cat delete and a header. Both weights were without me in there.

At the drag strip, my '05 Track weighed in at 3223 with a 1/4 tank of gas, no jack/spare/tools, and I think my one Sparco and one stock seat. That would put me over you with everything back to normal.
