Default Weighed my '06 Touring last night...

I don't know if anyone has posted this before or not. I went on a couple of drives last night and few of us went and weighed our cars. We drove to a truck stop scale and went to work. My 2006 350Z touring came in at 3300 lbs without me in it. I had a little over a quarter of a tank of gas, and all my floor mats, spare tire, etc. We weighed the front and rear as well, but I'm so tired from being up all night I can't remember what the weights were right now. Lol. My car is just over a month old, so it's pretty much stock (pop charger, grounding, tint, etc.). Anyway.... just thought I would share.

Oh... If I'm not mistaken the scales round up and down to the nearest 50 lbs. So my car could weigh between 3275 and 3324 (if I'm thinking correctly). Anywho.

Most of the magazine web sites list the 06' at 3300, so sounds like your right in the ball park

It's amazing how heavy our cars are. I drove a Z with full interior the other day and I could really tell the weight difference when compared to mine especially around corners. Needless to say, I really love how my car feels weighing in at a mere 2800-2900 lbs

Yeah... I love the Z, but she is a bit of a porker. Not as bad as my old F-body though.

Im not talking about any of you guys, but its funny how some people complain about how heavy the Z is yet when I look at there sig. it lists like 4 12" subs, 3 Amps, etc.... which probably adds 600 lbs LOL

My 06 weighed in at 3,170 without the turbo kit and without me in it.. No spare, single 3" exhaust, test pipes, and pop charger. So I'm probably around 3,260 now that I'm running the TN kit, give or take a few pounds.

nissanusa.com lists the 06 Touring 6MT at 3,400 lbs and the Touring 5AT at 3,380 lbs. Thats cool that youre under that.

How much air did you have in the tires? 35 or 40 pounds?

It didn't cost me anything. We went to a truck weigh station off the side of the highway. A lot of car guys use it to figure out their weight. We went a little later at night when it wasn't being used (I don't think this one gets used anyway), and the station isn't one that's manned. Just drive onto the scale, weigh, and drive off.

Yeah... haha... the car is heavy though. I'm guessing that the 3400 number is with a fully filled gas tank. If I remember right a gallon of gas weighs 6lbs. If I were to have a topped off tank I would be closer to that number.

I wonder how much mine weighs. I dont rock the jack and spare anymore, took out some unneccary paneling under the car, and lost 15 lbs off the exhaust, another 15 off test pipes and 7lbs per wheels, 8lbs per tire.. Plus, i lost 8 lbs haha..

Really? One could drive to a weigh station at night, even when they say "Closed" and weigh the car free? Didn't know that.
