With mass production there's bound to be a few Z's that don't make the cut.
They can't all be winners son.
Hopefully you've fixed the majority of problems and now you can enjoy it.

my car has also been in nissan repair numerous times for window motor, cup holder not working functionally, clicking sound from brakes, and cabin squeeks. All those were easy repairs and under warranty. With all those problems, i love my Z to death. I guess some poeple jus appriciate their z more than other z owners.

The 350Z is not the most reliable vehicle on the road. Your situation is extreme. The question is what are you going to do about it? Is it a legal lemon? Take action. Dissatisfied? Trade it in.

Every auto manufacturer puts out cars that will have problems. My friend went through 3 C-class mercedes (replaced under warranty) until he got one that didn't randomly stop running for apparently no reason. The problem is that most people who have problems are more vocal than those who don't.
Boycott Nissan if you like, but know that you just got unlucky, and 99% of us have nearly problem-free Z's other than the typical TSB stuff.

'05 Z here ...7K and ZERO problems. Since you're in Louisiana, is there a possibility that you could take advantage of some "Car phucked up, due to Katrina, so replace it program"??
I know it sounds silly..and NO, I'm not dissin' you. Just wondering if there is an insurance or Nissan loophole you could use.

if what you said is true (i doubt it is) it would have bean easy to envoke the lemon law
so quit complainging and do something about it
and if that doesnt work you can always do what this guy did http://cbs4.com/watercooler/local_story_035203500.html

Not as easy as you would think to envoke the lemon law. In Louisiana the car must be in the shop a total of 90 days (Calendar year) or in repair for the same problem a total of 4 times without success. It has taken numerous attempts to fix each problem (not 4) and new problems pop up all the time. It was in the shop 45 days last year, not meeting the 90 days.

I hate to hear about car failures - cars should make us happy, not angry. I've had that experience too (13 major failures in a BMW Z3 coupe) and it's awful. I wouldn't buy another BMW both because the car was so bad and because the dealers (except for Otto's in West Chester, PA - not my selling dealer and far from home, but worth the trip if you need them) were generally uncaring and occasionally nasty.
Manufacturing is subject to random variation and there's a small but real statistical risk that every part in any pile of parts (which is, after all, what a car really is) will be beyond the outside limit of acceptable manufacturing tolerances - that's a good working definition of a lemon. The "bell shaped curve" lives!
The difference between car makers re: reliability (along with basic design, of course) is the tightness of their manufacturing tolerances and the variance in meeting them. The likelihood of multiple failures is still low in a Nissan - we have an Xterra, an FX, and my Z and haven't yet had any failures at all.
You play the odds when you do just about anything, including buying a car. The odds are still much better that your next Nissan will be perfect than that it will be like this one. Dealers are pretty much alike when the chips are down. I've only found two that really came through for me in the face of car trouble (Otto's BMW and David Penske Chevrolet in King of Prussia, PA - I've been getting my tow vehicles from them since 1990 and they also go the extra mile). Conicelli Nissan sold me my Z and the buying experience was fine - but I haven't been back for service yet and I haven't had any problems, so I don't know how they'll be. If you love the Z but wish it were perfect, I'd consider getting another one - the odds of a second lemon are very very low.

I just can't wait till I can trade it in and never buy another Nissan product again!

LEMON law it, or turn it back into your bank and tell them to replace the car for you. It's just nuts and bolts... get rid of it!
