I'm just curious as to what grade of gasoline you use on your 350Z

Diesel only. I prefer the farm grade

There is no such thing as free horsepower. You payed for a 287 hp or 300 hp car so you have to use premium like Nissan says in the owners manual.

Do you actually trust a dealer on this. They sell cars they don't design them, I've yet to meet ANY dealer that new anything about the 350Z.

Won't hurt the car, but your ECU is pulling alot of timing. Should've just bought a car with less HP is you don't want to pay for premium.
I run 91 because that's all we get out west. The ECU is tuned for 93, so when I go to the track or dyno, I run a 1:2 ratio of 100 and 91 to give me a total of 93-94 octane. Anything less tha 93 and the ECU pulls timing. The Evo has the same problem, only much worse.

Nowadays I put premium in it...when I first got it I was using regular for a while...I haven't noticed any differences for better or worse since switching to premium.

I just got finished using a tank of reg 87 octane on my G35 and noticed a zero change in performance compared to using 93 octane from the same gas station.

No pity from us Californians who have 91 only (for the most part) and probably pay at least 50 cents more per gallon for it.

93. No such thing as 91 here except at select Sunoco (I think) stations. 87,89,93, thats the picks.
