Why do dumb people insist on messing with people who are minding their own business. I got off work tonight after a long 14 hour day, driving home a few rednecks pull up in a new Dodge 2500. ******** 1 (driver) spools up several times and jumps at me going down road, so I return the favor, thinking he just wants to play. ******** 2 ( passenger ) decides to attempt to hit my car with what looked like an empty beer can. I missed it and accelerated away, they decide to follow me home, the whole way trying to get back beside me and swerving near me in the opposite lane. I left them and they stopped at the bottom of my freaking driveway talking trash. They start to walk up the drive way when they realize I am waiting next to my car with my XD .40 For some odd reason they didn't wanna talk sh*t or play anymore . I am not one to pull a weapon in a fight, but there was 3 that I saw and that was best deterrent I had. I hate stupid people. Ok enough venting.

They got back in their truck and said a few smart remarks as they were driving off. I am assuming they were drinking, because I gave no reason for them to harass me or anything. They tried to run me off the road, but couldn't get beside me on the road.

Too many consequences to just pop off rounds like that here, even though it may have been justified. I use only as a last resort, the only reason to carry a concealed weapon.

 

Running is just asking for more trouble, appearing weak is only going to fuel them on

You did the right thing. Once they exited the vehicle and begain to approach you it was clear they inteded to do you harm. Once they saw you were armed they stoped and retreated. There was no need for violence.
