Bluefish,

It is defintely a custom color for the 350Z concept. The G35 Coupe had the same color at the auto shows as well. Nissan even talked about it at the Atlanta show saying how many steps it took to complete. They said the paint job was incredbily expensive. VERY cool though in person.

Since they are dropping the Brickyard I definitely am not going to switch to the convertible.

Too bad because the color really turns heads. The first thing most people say is that they love the color before mentioning the body style. Especially in bright sunlight.

Oh well, another reason to take care of this one for the grandkids.

It's killing me. i have to find the e-mail from glen at NNA. he told me the paint code was sentra Molten Silver. We were dicussing the problems associated with creating a show car, IE Lite Silver and Burnt Orange Seats that the customers could not order. It was pissing me off.

I know it looks better then stock, but my point was it was not chrome silver, nor was it a 12,000 $$ paint job..

Clearly, the Touring wheels in that pic are also finished with the same (or very similar) color and not the contrasting color that now exists with the CS. Anyone have any advance info on the 18" aftermarket "chrome" wheels that Nissan is supposed to introduce in June??

Well the new paint code is K25...so if someone could match that up with the Sentra's "molten silver" (which was the name of the color on the show car...though who knows if they are the same).

It will NOT look like the show car mind you, even if they are the same color. The show car was probably color sanded betwen layers of multiple clear coats.

molten silver on the sentra is KY4. it has a slight blueish tint to it.

Damn, that color makes my Daytona Blue look like Testor's model paints were used.
