what do they do when they detail your car?
if you have the time...no it's not worth it and yes you can do everything yourself and get the same results if you know how to properly use a buffer...however since you're asking the question....I'm thinking it might be wise to let someone do it for you
Good luck.
Good luck.

When I get a detail;
Exterior
wash exterior
clean wheel wells
muffler and exhaust
(optional) clean engine
wash rims
dry (high preasure in nooks and crannies)
wax exterior
buff exterior....buff out minor blemishes, scratches, etc.
Interior
vacuum interior
shampoo mats
clean and moisturize leather surfaces
clean all interior surfaces
clean ashtray
clean and wipe all visible nooks and crannies
Also, take a look in the detailing section for tips, etc.
Good luck!

Sure looks like he knows his stuff. I am not promoting gunser, but he has two things that most novices do not: the proper equipment and experience. No crime in having a pro take care of your car.
