I was just wondering what mods you could to the car without voiding the warranty?

You can do just about anything. I saw a law that says a mod has to be the cause of the problem before they aren't required to fix it.

You can put any mods you want on your car and it will not void the warranty unless Nissan can prove it caused the failure on the car. It's the law... That said the Dealerships will proabbly still give you a hard time if something does happen...

If you want to play it really safe, then you can stick to Nismo Type-S products from Nissan... which include

S-Tune Suspension
S-Tune Exhaust
S-Tune Sway Bars

I beleive Nismo Headers and CAI are considered Type-R which means off-road use only.. although most people put them on anyways...

Nismo CAI, Headers, Cams, and I believe clutch/flywheel are R-Tune. Exhaust, Suspension, and Sways are S-Tune.

Magnusson-Moss Act is your friend.

CAI, Headers, Cams, Clutch/Flywheel and LSD from nismo are R tune and are for "off road" use only.

Nismo S tune such as Sway bars, Exhaust, Shift *****, body aero parts and the such are covered under nissan parts warranty.

Also as stated above Mag Moss warranty act is something to refer too and is a good way to make them prove to you that whatever it is on your car caused that part to take a crap.

 

neon strobes, APC wing (the triple decker), and tire flies were ok'd by my warranty dealer. Course, when we shook hands, the $5 i had rolled up might have had something to do with it

If you are referring to me not being right... you just said the same exact thing I did.

 

i voided my warrenty on my evo really fast without anything going wrong, so i was just seeing if nissan is just as bad. I plan on taking off whatever mods i put on if something goes wrong and then ill bring it to nissan.

 

hahahahaha...I love you guys. You almost had me going there for a minute. What Mod's Can you do without Voiding Warranty? You guys slay me. hahahaha
