X5 or Z
Well ive been debating whether or not to give up the Z for a BMW X5 4.4i. I live in seattle where it rains frequently. I love the Z, but lets face it.....a Z base in rain/snow doesn't mix....even with snow tires....ive tried it. I dont consider myself and experienced enough drive to handle the car in snow. So thats where the X5 comes in. I dont drive that often with people....but thats only becasue i have only one extra seat. Ive loved them ever since they came out...but dont like the fact that its an SUV. The X5s are quick, and they look damn sexy, plus they have 5 seats! I dont drive that often with people....but thats only becasue i have only one extra seat. The interior is far superior to the Z's and they dont have any regular problems such as my 6spd tranny. But the Z is simply amazing. Ive loved it every second since i got it. So help me on trying to make a decision..... get the x5 or keep the Z. And i dont care about gas mileage issues so no need to bring that up.
A Z with snow tires will out-brake and out-corner and X5 with all seasons in snowy conditions. The law of physics only cares about the 4 contact patches touching the ground.
Having said that, an X5 will outaccelerate a Z (in snow) and would be less prone to getting stuck (but this only occurs in severe deep snow).

I can understand your thinking, but if you're getting rid of the Z to get something more seasonal....the X5 wouldn't at the top of my list. But if you're into it, it sounds like more a fit.

Get the X5
The Z is not for you

Go with X5, dont forget that '07 X5 will be available late Nov-early Dec and this is new body style...
If your spending limit doesn't allow you to get a new one, give it some time and you'll see how much old body style will drop with price at the end of the year,
350Z is great but IMO bmw has always been above and beyond
Best of luck~~!!!!

YES...I know the Japanese were in cahoots with the Krauts...but Hitler was the true embodiment of evil and he tricked some other countries into joining him, unfortunately.
So, a Japanese car is the lesser of 2 evils, I suppose.

I could ALSO tell you some extremely shocking facts about Bayer (A **** Supporter during WWII), such that you might NEVER buy their brand of aspirin again.....or ANY of their pharmaceutical products either....

I always feel bad seeing a young guy driving a family Van, SUV, Car. Wife and kids all loaded up going nowhere. They look over at the guy driving the sports car with the hot piece of split tail in the passenger seat.
Then the guy in the family van thinks to himself "that's how it all starts..."

Thanks...I was just trying to get some opinions. I love my Z, but at times it doesn't seem practical. I think I am going to get the X5. No way in hell am i gonna get a new one. I was looking at a 2002 4.4i. But thanks for the responces.
