I can say I just noticed that this past weekend, too, for the first time. rev'd it hard up to like 6-7k and smelled what seemed like burnt plastic or something.
question though: is a clutch not covered under original or extended warranties?
I'm also in need of an oil change...so maybe that's what's going on...

I get the same smell when i rev past 5k. I think ist normal, cause my clutch doesn't slip.
Quick Questin since we on topic of clutch. When i move from neutral to Gear 1 from a roll of 10km/hour, its lil hard to put the gear in 1st. Is this normal ?, or should i completly stop the car and go into 1st ? Sometimes i avoid it by just going directly int 2nd gear.

I had the same problem, Accelerating to high RPM would yield an electrical burn smell. . . turned out my clutch was in it's final days . . . I had to have it replaced at 6,000 miles on my 06 . . . the damage was caused by power shifting too much (keeping foot on gas and shifting quick as possible) hot spots were all over the flywheel . . . I Just replaced it with an ACT clutch and prolite flywheel, smell go bye bye and car revs much faster now.
ok so i've definitly experienced this smell. smells kinda like a go kart almost lol.
but i also notice some slipping under the right circumstances.
is there any clear sign that gives away a burnt clutch? short of taking apart the tranny and looking obviously.
Should I take it to the nissan dealer and have them take a look at my clutch?
I'm thinking if i have to have my clutch replaced i will just drop the Nismo Clutch in there...how much is the new stock clutch vs. nismo clutch in terms of price.

I also have the exhaust smell under medium to hard acceleration in my '06. I can't remember if I had the smell before I had the headers installed. So I assumed it was maybe an exhaust leak at the headers. Now it sounds like it might be somewhat normal???
