is there any clear sign that gives away a burnt clutch? short of taking apart the tranny and looking obviously.

Should I take it to the nissan dealer and have them take a look at my clutch?

I'm thinking if i have to have my clutch replaced i will just drop the Nismo Clutch in there...how much is the new stock clutch vs. nismo clutch in terms of price.
There's definitly a unique smell that a burning clutch has. To me it's totaly different from hot brakes, burnt rubber or exhaust.
