Cars like the NSX, Supra, GT-R, etc... are "flagship" sportscars...which means the best technology and engineering is applied to that specific car. The Z is not a "flagship" sportscar, which means, it is realisticly a pimped out 2-door Maxima. That is why NSX, Supra, GT-R, etc...will never depreciate in value as much as other sportscar. NSX is catching up to Ferrari's resale depreciation ratio value...unbelievable!
because a car loses value over time...and in time or resale you will lose money,
an investment will make you money at the time or resale
I suppose he has a point though... a car could be considered an investment... a horrible investment that is guaranteed to lose money.
The rare exception are rare/antique cars that sell above book value.
New car value > Depreciated value - $ for gas, maintenance, insurance, mods = not an investment
