Hi guys,

I am going to ask this one last time, i think you guys have had enough of my lame posts :P

okay here we go...

I live in Connecticut, it snows a lot here... I go to school etc... The Z will be my only car... Would it be a good idea to buy it or should i start thinking about buying another car...


Or is it possible to drive the Z in a lot of snow w/ some good winter tires?

dont buy the Z. There becoming a cancer that keeps spreadign and spreading throughout the world. Get yourself an awd car for the snow.

I am fortunate enough to live in CA, but spent quite a bit of time in Maine.
This is just my opinion....Sports cars and motorcycles do not make good winter vehicles. You might be able to make it work, but I think the enjoyment factor would be low.

I would say buy yourself a little 4x4 and by the time you are out of school, you could get yourself a Z as your second vehicle.

That is my 2 cents.

ok you guys dont hate... but i was thinking of the newer Eclipse??

I want a car w/ good looks and fast... the new Eclipse GT provides me w/ those options... wat do you guys think?

For and 18 year old with no RWD-winter experience, I would highly recommend the Eclipse as an alternative. I would hold of on getting the Z.

 

I drive my car year round here in Canada. If you get the traction + Stability control options on your Z along with some GOOD winter tires ( Nokian's are Excellent) you will be set!

The car is still not fantastic in the snow but once you learn how to get moving off the start( it gets interesting with all that torque ) I must say the stability control in the z is one of the best I have seen.

All in all if you are not comfortable with snow driving do not get the Z.

Dont buy the Z... buy a second hand bmw x5 or something... the eclipse is $hit... why waste your money!!!!!

Or get a nice range rover... for god sake man... ive seen snow twice in my life... if u live in it... u will know that an investment in the Z is a bad idea.... I slide when it tinkles...!
