Option 2:
Utec+tune

With that once you get an exhaust, headers, or any other power mod you can tune the car for the max performance from that mod. Plus you know your engine is running safely.

I like this option if you ahve an exhaust and ypipe or tespipes this is your best option... Instead of cheap headers look for quality used headers....

Looks can come later easily

I would fill the car with gas, drive to Aberdeen, MD on October 22 and race against davidv.

Option 1
Stillen Rear wing, Nismo rear molded on, veilside V1 front lip

Only if you have sides as well. I wouldn't like a lip and rears, no sides.

Option 2:
Utec+tune

Only if you have full bolt-ons.

Option 3:
Nismo R tune/Fujitsubo/Crawford headers

I like this option. When you say R-tune, what are you talking about? That includes headers. And I don't know where your getting your figures, but these three things combined would be easily over $2k.

Option 4:
Tokiko D-spec Springs/shocks, Cusco swaybars

I like this option as well.

Option 5:
Springs, Stillen rear wing, lightwerks.net headlight mod (black bezel and 6000k bulbs, LED turn signals), blacked out rear lights, turn signals, front ambers.

Too much different stuff. Focus on either go-fast or look-good or stick-better mods at the same time.

I disagree. You don't need to have full bolt-ons to need a tune. With simple bolt-ons you could be running too rich or lean and that damages the engine. The more reason to get a tune.

Nah. Right now he's got nothing and wants to add bolt-ons at some point. If he goes UTEC now and tunes it, he'll have to pay for another dyno tuning session after he adds more bolt-ons. Better to mod first, then tune. Simple bolt-ons will not richen or lean the car to the point of damaging the engine. Will it be ideal? Probbaly not, but most people go with bolt-ons and never tune and are just fine. Optimizing with the UTEC is great, but not absolutely neccessary with only simple bolt-ons, so I'd deffinitely wait to add that until all other modding is done; it'll be cheaper in the long run.

Option 4 will make the biggest difference in how the car feels... And give it a more aggressive stance...

The way i've always done my cars

1) Handling Mods
2) Appearnce Mods
3) Power mods <--- I usally do this last once the warranty on the car runs out...

I had $1200.. it paid for my car insurance for another 6 months. Stupid priorities.. I have all winter to save up for something special. Good luck modding.
