I say she will make it to 30....much past that....dont know. But I base this on the fact that I have blown engines on several cars with similar driving habbits.

My 350Z has 45,000 miles and is doing fine. There are 2003 owners with 80,000 miles. Lots of things break on the 350Z (windows for example) but generally the motor is the strongest component.

just as long as you do your scheduled maintenance and 3K oil changes, you're car should be fine.

i believe that if you drive it like you stole it you can break it within 10 miles. so its all up to you user to keep the car.

as far is scheduled maintenance and 3k oil changes.... at most, thoose are optional and subjective respectively...

Throughout my driving experience, I've noticed a lot more Nissan owners, especially those with Maximas to have problems with their cars due to engine failed and lose of power. I've had my Honda accord since 99' with 40K miles and now with 160K miles. I've driven it hard and put it through hell and back, even had the engine flooded at one point. Yet it still runs good, aside from the transmission. But Honda’s aren't known for good transmissions anyways. I've taken good care of the car ever since I've owned it, did oil changes, and tune-ups. Even though Nissan claims the engine will surpass 200K, I doubt that owners are willing to keep it that long with the loss in power and ride quality. But I plan to, that's why I don't push it hard all the time, take care of maintance myself like oil changes and minor tune-ups. I'm married and probably not going to have the opportunity in my later years to fully enjoy a toy like the Z.

All in all, enjoy your Z, as well as take good care of it. Because if I could drive like I use to when my license was clean, I would.

what's the powertrain warranty? 60K? So it will last at least 60K

Sounds like your abusing it pretty hard... Figure race cars are designed for abusive driving and they have to be rebuilt pretty often... I wouldn't expect to many miles out of your car... 50k-60k miles and you will probably have to start replacing stuff...

I feel sorry for the sucker who buys your car when you go to sell it

I have a 75 k powertrain. Also if "i believe that if you drive it like you stole it you can break it within 10 miles" were true id have a problem. I just initialy said iv drivin it like i stole it for 5300 miles. I am 100 percent sure that thats not true unless you hit a tree.

ill keep it for a long time, i assume, i will eventualy replace all the motor and tranny mounts with good stuff, ill have coilovers eventualy. and at some point i want to rebuild the whole motor for FI. Right now i have invidia n1 a wing, and sways. I think just doing tokiko d spec, and wheels with 255 285 will be it for a while. Id like to have the whole car done out in the next 15 years or so.

There should be a poll for people who say that they will rebuild later and this a that later. I bet that more owners tend to move on to better models like me, instead of investing in an old piece of metal.

I have 36K on my Z, and I'll be supper pissed if it fails under 100K-150K.

well im only 18 now, so 10 years from now ill still have it. and i love it there is sentimental value, i raped my first porsche in her. I love the Z it almost hurts some days i look at her. I can't even belive its mine. Its so beautifull. And with some more mods it will be my personality in a car. Plus we get along, we understand each other. I feel everything she tells me. I figure why not be that close to it............ when i track it, i put my life in it, too many yuppies have too many cars and dont know how to drive a single one of them.....Its my job to make them feel embaressed about that..... last autocross, i took down a nice 520 hp Z06 on R compound tires, and also tied with a lotus ellise on 2 runs, he was also on R compounds.

I have love for my car too, but it's not a orgasim. But your only 18, if I had my Z when I was 18, I'll probally feel the same as you. Except I wouldn't word it like you, it sounds like you need some a^_. HaHa. I'm glad your having fun with your Z.

I would start to take more care of it or you will find yourself beginning to replace parts. And even though they are covered under warranty, if the part is found to be broken by abuse, they will NOT cover it.

If you keep driving it like that, it probably won't last much more than, oh...maybe 250,000 miles.

Quit worrying about it, and enjoy it.
