Default Windshield crack caused by stress??

I came out yesterday morning to find a crack in my windshield in the upper right corner. Nothing appeared to have hit the glass.. I have full glass coverage so I called my insurance company. They made an appointment for me to have it replaced at a local safelite glass center. The guy who replaced the window said this was the 4th 350Z he has seen and all the cracks appear to be caused by stress.. He thinks the factory glass may have a problem and he pointed out several area's where the glass was un-even.. The new window is made by PPG and appears to be 100% perfect.

Has anyone on the list had a winshield crack?? If so, please let me know. Maybe Nissan should be aware of this.

if you rub most Z windshields with a soft cloth, you can feel the uneveness of the windshield. i was told this is on purpose for aero reasons... seems more like another full-o-crap dealer story.

Is there an award for the dealership that gets a customer to swallow the biggest lie of the year? Cuz that dealer sure seems to be trying!

Yikes.
