i tried doing a search here about this topic, but i got a lot of diff questions and answers and not way i was looking for.

well my questions are:

1- if i get an aftermarket nav unit will it void the factory warranty?

2- if i get aftermarket suspension work done will it void the suspension?
(i want to get the tanabe, or tein lowering springs, i can't afford coil-over )

any part you replace voids the factory warranty on that part and if that part causes failure to anything else it will void that. google search is a wonder btw

1. Nope
2. Yes
3. I highly doubt it.
4. Only engine problems related to the intake.

Example of what Speedrcr said...

You buy a aftermarket nav system that intergrates into the dashboard, now if the nav goes out and fry's the rest of your electrical system in the process then the Nav system just voided your warranty on the entire electrical system. Now if the Nav system was not the cause of the electiral system failure then the warranty will cover it.

This is true with any aftermarket part.

It will not void the warranty, but if you have a problem with your electrical system and they find it linked to the install of the nav unit then the problem will not be covered...

2- if i get aftermarket suspension work done will it void the suspension?
(i want to get the tanabe, or tein lowering springs, i can't afford coil-over )

The factory suspension parts that will be affected by the springs are not really covered anyway... but, if you go in complaining about alignment problems, that will not be covered by warranty... If you get creaking sounds from the springs that will not be covered...

3- if i get aftermarket wheels will it void the warranty?

Nope

4- if i purchase an aftermarket cold air intake will it void the warranty?

No, but once again, if you have a problem directly caused by the intake it will not be covered... or if the intake parts fail they will not be covered by nissan as well...

The warranty for my broken navi lid was supposively voided because of an installation of an aftermarket stereo done over 3 years ago. Months before the lid broke, I was told the lid opening up by itself while hitting small bumps was normal.

So now I've been driving around with no lid for a few months now >.<

That part is at most covered by 3/36,000 warranty... it may only be 1/12,000

Ill check...

Do you think it might be helpful to read the warranty?
