Like I posted in the other thread... I've seen a lemans sunset preproduction Z with the splash guards in person and they're black on the car I saw. I don't know if that means the production version will be black or not. That's what I've seen with MY OWN EYES

Clarification
The standard kickplate that comes from the factory is black plastic with a raised "Z". The "Z" is the only aluminum portion of the plate.
The dealer option is black plastic with a rectangular plate recessed into the plastic and is approximately 2" X 12" with the "Z" stamped. There's also the square design elements that mimic the wheels, strut bar, etc. It is a definite improvement over the factory installed and well worth the $79. It really completes the look as it mirrors other aluminum components of the vehicle. You won't be disappointed. A confidant showed me the part and he works for Nissan. Believe me or wait and see for yourself and apologize to me later.
