Went to Rodeo Nissan on Herndon and Peach today for an oil change, and while waiting in the sales area, I noticed a stack of "preferred owners" coupon books. I picked one up, looked through it, and found over $500 worth of local area discounts (window tinting, car washes, etc.), and discounts on parts (10%)and service. There's even coupons for FREE 3750, 7500, 11250, and 15000 mile oil changes! I quickly ran it to the service department, they honored it, and I was on my way!!! Schedule 1 maintenance free of charge to 15000!! Gotta love a new dealership!!

 

The "Preferred Customer" gimmick is apparently a campaign many Niss Dealers are starting. Cerritos Nissan just signed me up for it. Basically, in exchange for letting that particular dealer perform all your maintenance, you get lifetime free oil changes and 10% discounts off parts and services. No cost to sign up. No brainer for me since that is the only dealer I go to anyway.

 

Sounds interesting, but I think this is a different deal--there's nothing to "sign up" for--it's just a coupon book full of local retail savings and free oil changes, tire rotations (for other Nissan owners), parts and savings coupons. Anyone can walk into the dealership and pick one up.
