Default Weight of 350Z models

hello,
I recently purchased an 06' Black Coupe Base model. I was curious about the car that i just bought and came across the curb weight of my car which was 33XXlbs. I've heard that the track models are the lightest of the models availiable. Is this true, and if so, where do those models save weight? I thought that they had more features than the base, which means the weight would ahve to come out of wheels, suspension components, noise reduction material, ect. If anybody has some insight, help a noob out!

I believe the base models are the lightest purely because they have less options. Track models don't use any lower-weight components compared with their counterparts, so it basically comes down to the less options, the less weight

See: http://www.nissanusa.com/z/specifications_coupe.html

Track is not necessarily the lightest, but the difference between the lightest model and the heaviest model is only 65 pounds (if you believe those numbers).

That difference can be overcome by diet and exercise...

Basically what shaves a few pounds off the Track is the rims. They're a bit lighter than the stock ones.

But all trim levels are roughly the same.
