Default Top Speed w/o Limiter?

Anyone know what speed the Z can achieve if you were to remove the limiter? Has anyone actually done this?

Random question, but j/w.

depends on what you have done to the car. NA, FI, Gears. aerodynamics, etc...

I will go with stock, but I don't know what people have done to their cars. So if people respond, post what they have done too.

170-175 seems very reasonable to me..... but that's on the speedo though which is a little generous at those speeds.... the tires are rated for 168 (actual speed)... I would be surprised if my stock Z couldn't get close to 168 with the limiter removed.... it will keep the 159 limiter pegged even going up a grade... no question it has more potential. That kind of goes without saying though, if it didn't have more potential it wouldn't be limited in the first place.

I think its 176mph being stock and 186 mph with a 6mt and 3.53s with enough power. the 3.30s should be a little over 200mph with enough power.

Considering stock, the AT would be a little bit faster than a MT sans the limiter.
