Default Halarious dealer quote...

So yeah, I'm in the market for a BBK and was curious if I could just get the parts from a Nissan dealer. So I call this guy up last night tell him I want the works: calipers, rotors, lines... whatever. He takes my number and says he'll get back to me when he's got it all figured out. So I get a call this morning and he says... get this... 13 THOUSAND DOLLARS. I'm like... WTF? He says the Brembos require a larger rim and tire combo, so if they were going to do it, they'd charge for the rims and tires as well. Roffle. I told him I had a rim and tire combo already that would clear them and he says, 8 Thousand then. DUUUUUUUDE... I knew dealerships were over priced, but c'mon! That's absurd to me.

hehe... that just shows what they know...

The brembo's fit under all OEM wheels on the Z... 17 / 18 touring / performance wheels etc...

They arent too far off on the pricing though believe it or not..

LIST pricing will put you around $7K for the Brembo brakes and rotors all around...

Add $1400 each track wheel and tires and you are around 13K...

MSRP... but who pays that anyway

Yeah, the old dealer trick. One of our guys in NZ phoned up to see how much the stock 06 rims were, and was promptly told 5k. After his absolute shock, challenged the dealer and the price was dropped very subtanially, funny that.

Oh, one of our other guys rang another dealer on Friday inquiring about the Zed key with the proper Zed emblem, was told $890.00. This included reprogramming of the key at $40.00, but seriously $850 for a key. I don't think so.

I guess it's relative to what someone will pay, but that is daylight robbery.
