In the latest issue of Car and Driver (Dec 2006), on page 41, there is a blurb about a new Renault concept car called the Nepta. Car and Driver states: "The engine powering the concept is a high-revving, Naturally Aspirated 420-hp version of Nissan's 3.5-liter V6.
WHAT!?! 420-hp with no turbo or supercharger? Sorry I dont have any more info than this, but I about fell out of my chair when I read it. Could this be a possible hint at the powerplant in the upcoming new Z and G35 coupe?
Man thats some pretty crazy stuff 420hp na out of the vq motor that is unheard of but i hope that it is so true and i can't wait to hear more about this.
There must have been some major internal work. I would not expect 420hp to be achieved with simple bolt ons out of the VQ anytime soon, as much of a great engine it is.
