Ok well I bought my 350Z about a year ago a (2003) and I'm second owner.
I don't know if the person who had it before did something internal. If you pop the hood , it looks stock. If you rev it, You can hear a crying sound (no it's not a supercharger) it's real light. and it sounds louder the more I step on it. Also I got 4.2 0-60. and I hit 159mph then I let go. If it was stock. Shouldn't the govenor kick in and stop me at 152mph or around there??

Questions.

On your oil (PSI) gage. what does it sit at, just sitttin there???

and your Volts , where do they sit at also?? just by sitting there, the car still not moving (but of course turned on)

I've beaten GTO's too, and I know they have 400hp , so I'm kind of confused.

 

hahaha 4.2 0-60 is no where near stock. If you are hearing like a crying or a whine its probably supercharged

 

You MUST be experiencing the all encompassing power of the turbonator. Consider yourself lucky that the previous owner was so kind as to leave it in for you.

if you were able to beat a gto then you're not stock 4.2 0-60 is pretty quick
350z stock is 5.3-5.8 sec.

Not much. I know the basics, like I said I know how a supercharged and a turbo works,looks, and sounds. I know what certain bolt ons do. I know you can also do internal work to the engine, like cams...that you cannot view from just poppin hoods. I am not a genius though about cars. I just know my basics, that I need to know...but I do not know what I HAVE ON MY Z!!!! I will try taken clips/videos. How can I upload those??

Most likely you have one of the twelve 350Z EHP(Experimental High Power) motors made by Nissan. Word is that they have about 375 HP.

Without taking the motor apart there is no way to tell.
